BaFin is still warning consumers about the company Capitus and the services it is offering. On 17 December 2024, BaFin issued a warning about Capitus and its website capitus.net, which has since been deactivated. The unknown operators are now using the nearly identical website capitus.pro. BaFin suspects the operators of the websites of offering consumers financial and investment services on these platforms without the required authorisation.
